The West Genesee CSD has an immediate opening for a part-time, ten-month Custodial Worker I at Onondaga Road Elementary School. The work hours are 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
A Custodial Worker I performs routine cleaning and semi-skilled maintenance tasks and is responsible for the efficient and economical cleaning and maintenance of a school building or an assigned section. Duties typically include:
- Performing a variety of cleaning tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming floors; dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning walls, restrooms, and fixtures).
- Making minor, non-technical repairs to building and equipment.
- Moving and arranging furniture and equipment.
- Operating and maintaining building cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, floor scrubbers).
- Performing general grounds-keeping tasks such as snow removal or lawn care as needed.
- Reporting maintenance needs or concerns to a supervisor.
