Job Description

The West Genesee School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Teaching Assistant position at Camillus Middle School effective immediately.

This is a 6.5-hour-per-day, 10-month, term appointment which follows the school calendar.

Job Qualifications
  • Possession of or willingness to pursue Teaching Assistant certification in New York State. For information on obtaining a TA certification, go to: https://www.ocmboces.org/teacherpage.cfm?teacher=1276
  • Willing to work towards a knowledge of curriculum and instruction as it relates to academic and social/emotional learning.
  • Experience with children and some knowledge of childhood development.
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, a lifelong commitment to learning.
  • Is skilled at establishing positive working relationships.
