Director of Accountability & Instructional Support107

West Genesee CSD is currently accepting applications for Director of Accountability & Instructional Support. This is a full-time, twelve-month appointment. Appropriate certification and experience required.

JOB GOAL

Direct, coordinate and oversee implementation of central registration. Lead, manage and support district and schools with federal, state, and district reporting and requirements related to educational assessment, planning and accountability. Design, oversee, and facilitate development of a variety of student achievement data reporting tools and displays, and assist central office and school site staff in using data to inform practice.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To coordinate all New York State data and accountability reporting requirements with schools and district.
  1. To communicate with NYSED State Information Repository System (SIRS).
  1. To train administrators and clerical staff in state accountability rules, and in the relationship among state accountability, the CNYRIC Data Warehouse, and SIRS.
  1. To train and support appropriate district staff in level 0 data loading for weekly Data Warehouse updates.
  1. To administer the District Student Management System, including training staff on features.
  1. Oversee building administration with creation of yearly master schedules.
  1. To assist in correction of student, course, teacher, and contact data.
  1. To facilitate the data verification process across the district including articulation of staff roles and responsibilities related to Data Warehouse reporting and state accountability.
  1. To assist in establishing processes for recent reporting requirements of teacher student data linkage verification, teacher and principal composite effectiveness scores, and state course reporting, as well as articulate any new requirements to pertinent staff.
  1. To develop a monthly calendar of data refreshes, testing and assessment, as well as reporting and verification deadlines.
  1. To coordinate the collection and use of district student achievement and assessment data, including state and local summative and interim/ benchmark data.
  1. To assist in generating visual data displays for comparative and trend analysis, including data dashboards.
  1. To provide professional development in the use of data verification and analysis tools such as COGNOS Level 1 and Level 2 reports, LinkIt and FastBridge to maintain a proactive approach in accurate data use and reporting.
  1. To work with data leadership teams to design, review, and analyze a variety of data to inform data-based decision making.
  1. To support the facilitation of data teams and of data conversations among colleagues to foster collaborative reflection on student performance.
  1. To coordinate a variety of pupil personnel services.
  1. Manage vendor requests for integration with student management system.
  1. Create custom reports and exports to improve overall efficiency.
  1. Plans, improves, and oversees local and state assessments.
  1. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.
  1. Provide evaluative findings (including student achievement data) for the review of curriculum and instruction program effectiveness.
  1. Order, receive, inventory, and disseminate secure assessment materials to schools.
  1. Collaborate with schools and district personnel to facilitate continuing systemic improvement in student performance and other operational tasks.
  2. Serve as coordinator of central registration, including residency, foster care, and mckinney vento.
  3. Supervision of two System Consultants/Student Services, and one Secretary (Central Registrar).
  4. Perform related duties as assigned.

Assistant Director of Special Education108

West Genesee CSD is currently accepting applications for Assistant Director of Special Education. This is a full-time, twelve-month appointment. Appropriate certification and experience required.

JOB GOAL: To assist the Special Education Director in the supervision of the special education personnel and programs and to ensure that the programs are in compliance with all state and federal regulations. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 1. Develop close working relationship with building principals to provide support for the special education and related services programs.

 2. Assist the Director in chairing the Committee on Special Education and Committee on Preschool Special Education meetings and conduct the related CSE/CPSE business per the regulated timelines.

 3. Assist in the preparation of all State Education Department annual reports.

4. Act as a liaison between the BOCES programming and the District and parents to ensure meaningful communication, continued student progress and quality of program.

 5.  Act as a liaison with preschool programs to ensure appropriate programming and transition to West Genesee.

 6. Facilitate school psychologists, speech/language and occupational and physical therapists monthly meetings to ensure effective programming.

 7. Coordinate summer school programming and itinerant related services with BOCES.

 8. Provide training and support to all special education staff in collaboration with the Director of Special Education.

 9. In collaboration with the Director of Special Education, facilitate the implementation of IEP Direct.

10. Performs related duties as assigned.
