Job Description

West Genesee CSD currently has an immediate opening for a full-time, 12-month Auto Mechanic in our Transportation Department.

• Repair and maintain all school vehicles under the supervision of the Head Mechanic.
• Perform preventive maintenance brake checks and oil changes as required by the Department of Transportation and to enhance the overall vehicle life.
• Perform body repairs and painting of vehicles as regulations permit on an as need basis.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
•  Prepare buses for Department of Transportation Inspections.
• Drive school bus in an emergency situation as determined by the Director of Transportation or designee.
• Perform other work as assigned, within the Civil Service classification.

• Must have a CDL Class B license with a passenger and air brake endorsement
